Facilities at Exeter

The University of Exeter is based on a large campus near the centre of the town. It boasts great facilities and a great location.

chalkThe university has a purpose built conference centre which we will be using for this event. The Peter Chalk Centre will house the exhibition, the workshops and seminars and also most of the lectures.

The accommodation will be in Holland Hall which is very close to the conference rooms. There is unlimited parking on the site.

Distances between sites are relatively short and all buildings and conference rooms are accessible.

Psychology at Exeter

The university has a top rated psychology department and they are pleased to be contributing to the ATP Conference.

They are one of the UK’s Top 10 Psychology departments (Guardian, 2009), who aim to inform their teaching with their research. They demonstrated the strength of their research in the recent RAE ratings where 90% of their output was judged to be of international quality. Of particular interest to this conference with its theme of inclusion and diversity is the Glass Cliff Research Group .

Also of interest to this conference will be the work of Alex Haslam and Steve Reicher on the BBC Prison Study

Bookings should be made through the bps. To reserve a place go to www.bps.org.uk/atp2009
